Top 3 best Best Side Hustles in Pickleball

Everyone loves pickleball, and why not earn some extra money doing something you love.

Pickleball is exploding in growth and more and more prize money is being added to tournaments. These are the top 3 side hustles that will bring you the most extra money in Pickleball!

  1. Teaching

    1. With the growth of PB everywhere, there are countless people that are looking for instruction. Whether you are a high level player, or someone just beginning, there is someone wanting to learn from you. Now, if you’re a beginner, I wouldn’t recommend charging a lot, or looking for high level players to instruct, but you can begin with low level players and build your way up. You can do privates, semi privates, play ins, clinics, the possibilities are truly endless with this.

  2. Selling products / paddles

    1. Once again, with the rise of Pickleball, everyone is wanting a new paddle or product. Most paddle companies allow for new people to become distributors which allows for the distributors to buy product at a wholesale cost, generally 50% off whatever retail price is. When your friends and family discover you can sell paddles at a discount, they tell there friends which creates business for you!

  3. Creating a product

    1. This one might be a little more geared toward entrepreneurial people, but can be a very profitable one. As discussed, PB is exploding so fast and there are so many new opportunities. The sport in the grand scheme has not been around for as long as other sports, which means there is still plenty of innovation and room for new ideas to come in. When I first started playing Pickelball, I would often play on temporary courts where we would have to tape the lines for the dimensions of the court. This was such a pain and took a lot of time. I always wondered why no one ever created something that sped this process up. Fast forward to today, someone has done just that. There are hundreds of ideas out there that are great functional ideas that no one has discovered or put to use. You can be the one, you just need to be a little creative, believe, and have the desire to do so.

These are meant to be side hustles, where you can do them on the side and it is something that you love. I’m sure there are others that I have missed, but by doing these 3 things, you can assure yourself that you will be creating a legit side hustle and bring in some extra money doing something you love.
